The tour stops once your stomach is full. Sitting on street-side stalls to taste local foods, cheers “bottoms-up” with friends. Hanoi is a paradise of snack and within this tour, you have chances to try some of them. 2 different itineraries are proposed according to morning walk and afternoon walk.

BRIEF ITINERARY
Morning (7.00 – 10.30) or Afternoon (15.00 – 18.00): Walking in Hanoi Old quarter & Tasting local foods
  • Morning activities
    Forget the pre-arranged breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and go with you to Thanh Ha local market. Immerse yourselves in local traders, knowing more about the daily life of Hanoi Old quarter. Walk by O Quan Chuong old city gate to “Pho Cuong” restaurant at 23 Hang Muoi street. Sit side-by-side to enjoy the best soft-noodle of Hanoi, the spirit of Vietnamese cuisine. This is the original “pho bo” beef-noodles before it spread out all over the world with different versions.

    Relax with a Vietnamese jasmine tea or Vietnamese Robusta coffee on Nguyen Huu Huan street. Sit around an outdoors low table under an ancient tree in Café Lam or sipping a cup of Egg coffee in Café Giang, hearing the sound of street life. Our tour guide will tell you more about the history of the café shop.

    Walk to a corner street near from Hoan Kiem lake. Sit down on a street-side stall to see the host prepare your dish of “Nom bo kho” with ingredients of dried beef, sour kohlrabi, mango, coconut and a bit chili. It’s crispy, meaty and delicious, especially attractive flavour which can persuade all fastidious foodies.

    Walk with our tour guide to Ta Hien beer corner. Enjoy “the cheapest draught beer of the world” voted by Lonely Planet experts in 2011. Bottom-up the beer during chatting with friends. End of your tour at your hotel. 

    Afternoon activities

    Our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and walk with you to Hoan Kiem lake. Walk by St. Joseph Cathedral Church to Café Nhan shop since 1946. Enjoy a special coffee cup with the harmonious blend of pure Arabica coffee of North Vietnam and the handmade preparation.

    Walk along Hang Gai “silk” street to Hoan Kiem street. Sit down on a street-side stall to see the host prepare your dish of “Nom bo kho” with ingredients of dried beef, sour kohlrabi, mango, coconut and a bit chili. It’s crispy, meaty and delicious, especially attractive flavour which can persuade all fastidious foodies.

    Walk with our tour guide to Ta Hien beer corner. Opt some “Nem ran” Vietnamese spring-rolls before enjoying “the cheapest draught beer of the world” voted by Lonely Planet experts in 2011. Bottom-up the beer during chatting with friends.

    Finish your street food tour in “Pho Bat Dan” the most famous soft-noodle restaurant of Hanoi Old quarter. Be quick for self-service because this restaurant is so famous that everybody dine out there !
